I've been told to get 'Reflex'. Anyone can to give their views on it? Is it good/worth it or is there better out there.

Also, just a quick q, but when should I take protein shakes? Obviously after a workout, but when else? Like after some cardio and how often a day? My first line is the most important though, thanks!

Trutein, Xtreme Formulations, Gaspari Nutrition, and True Protein are also choices, great ones at that. There's nothing special about Optimum Nutrition protein.

OP: The protein brand that you get will likely be based upon your location, and what's easy for you to acquire. Take protein shakes whenever. Just get your daily macronutrient/caloric needs.
