I have been lifting for 4 years, since I was 18, and am otherwise moderately active.

When I was 18 I was 5'9" and 140lbs. I am now 22 and am 5'9" 140lbs but with a considerably different build and body fat (<5%).

I have always lifted without any sort of supplementation but clearly I am finding it impossible to put on any real mass, so I have been looking into various supplements.

Mass Machine Nutrition MM1000 Creatine caught my eye on bodybuilding.com.

Has anyone ever used this or know anything about it? Any other suggestions regarding supplementation or exercise philosophy in general?

Read the creatine in the excellent post section.  Creatine can help you push out a few extra reps which can help you get stronger.  Its is one of the longest (40+ year) supplement on the market.  Personally stick with a simple creatine monohydrate.  The rest is pretty iffy.

If you are really interested in supplements I strongly suggest you read "Bodybuilding Revealed" by Will Brinks.  (http://www.brinkzone.com/store/)  It has a money back guarantee and goes in very technical details on all popular supplements.  It is a very good foundation of knowledge if you want to pursue the use of supplements.

what is your routine and diet ? Im asking because lifting for 4 years and not adding a single pound to your body weight seems a little off. I wouldn't go looking to supplementation as a fix to your problem of adding "mass". More than likely it is your diet and routine.

I second the info given on Will Brinks, great site.

Well over that period I've done various routines working out at home with free weights & body weight exercises Scooby style. I did a few rounds of P90X as well. I have, and am currently going to the gym and targeting a certain muscle group on a given day, lifting 4-5 times per week. I've always focused on more weight, less reps (maintaining good form, of course). Admittedly I have greatly neglected squats with a barbell and deadlifts because I have always been worried of incorrectly performing the exercise and hurting my back.

I feel that my diet is quite lacking as I am a broke ass college kid. I eat as healthily as I can and try to include protein rich foods into my diet but I am probably still short on calories and nutrients.

There is a considerable difference in my physique but yeah... like I said, I basically weigh the same amount I did 4 years ago and am having difficulty getting mass lol.

If your broke then don't waste your money on supplements like creatine.  Use the money for nutritious food.  If you are not eating enough, no amount of creatine will help.

Anthony, I've had the same thing. I had the same weight from 17 years to 20 years. It just stayed at 70 kg, and still was untill about 9 months I started eating more! I know you've read that a thousand times already, but it's as easy as that Wink

I started eating one more meal a day (or even more somethimes) and in the beginning it was pretty hard, but after a week or two I got used to it and I find myself hungry most of the time Tongue (what wasn't the case earlier) and now I weigh 78-79 kg and I'm looking to add even more the times to come.

I say you try eating more instead of buying those supplements, as as you mentioned, you're broke and in college, so some extra food will be less expensive than supplements (imo)
