I dont know how many times Ive heard supplements are a waiste of money so I'm gonna write about what people want to know in this thread. It clearly says "The supplement industry is a billion dollar business, do they deserve your money? Are they safe? Are they effective? How effective? Share your "success" and "horror" stories here"

Note it say's SHARE your "success and horror" stories, so when people want information about supplements dont say ____ like "They a waiste of money". Again it says SHARE your stories. I know there are some natural body builders who dont use supplements and thats their choice, ask your self this, how can you say they're a waiste of money when you havnt even used them Huh?
If someone wants to buy a supplement who cares, its their money not yours.

There will probably be some people who will call me names for writing this and im just going to ignore them Smiley because there are others who would agree with this.

Here are some of the success I've had with supplements and I would reccommend to anyone
Jacked- have been using it since I bought it in october and if you look at my profile thats when I joined Wink
Oxy elite
Scivation extend

scivation xtend ? why ?

xtend is expensive , instead you can buy ON whey 2 lb which is the same price

xtend has only 4 types of amino acid in it , but 1 scoop of ON whey 22 types of amino acids in it

I understand your point and you're right that it's their money but we're all here to help each other and there so many useless supplements out there, and many of them are dangerous to take actually. Better save their money for high quality food or the basic supplements. I do agree however that this forum sometimes has too great of a hostility towards supplements.

Yep some are banned already but the supplement industry is everything but well regulated. In fact, some studies about Optimum Nutrition showed shocking results. (it's been a while ago so I can't be more precise, sorry)

The only supplement I've tried is

    -Controlled Labs Purple Wraath
I actually have had good use of this product.  I use it as a way to train in a near fasted state from time to time, which is very appealing to me.  It hasn't given me any magical boost in muscle production, but it allows me to eat much bigger post-workout, which is more than magical enough for me Wink

Whey isolate doesn't count; it's a food.  I'll also soon be trying creatine mono.

Creatine is proven to work. I once tried it too and it actually did give me a boost. Just a couple things: make sure to eat it after a large meal, and not just PWO with a protein shake that has some sugar in it. The large meal will spike your insulin that much more, helping absorption. Second, dissolve it in a hot beverage. At least for me that's the only way to make it dissolve, in water or juice it didn't react at all and it felt like drinking sand. And the most important thing is, stay hydrated! I'm prone to calf cramps but lots of people report they feel cramps when on creatine and I indeed got cramped a lot more often while on it. So make sure to drink plenty of water and to get enough electrolytes in (milk or bananas are great sources).

    Just a little reminder Smiley
