There's three types of marketed whey protein
1) Isolated - Mostly all of the carbs (including lactose) and fats are removed leaving usually 90%+ protein.  Most expensive.
2) Concentrate - Normally the cheapest.
3) Blend - Mixture of the above.  Usually has other nutrients mixed into it.

It appears Body Fortress has creatine in it, so that's probably the difference.

If you're buying a concentrate that has nothing but whey protein in it, they're pretty much all the same. Some brands add other stuff in (like the creatine or amino acids) so that might make a slight difference, but it usually isn't a lot. Isolates have some advantages, but cost more, not worth it to me.

Just get something that's low calorie with at least 20g a serving and you should be fine. Stuff like muscle milk has a lot of calories, even though it has some good stuff in it. Plain whey is my choice.

I would not bother spending twice more money for protein powder with 1 gram of carb less in it per serving, that does not concern me.
BUT I would spend more money in order to buy a protein powder with as less artificial stuff in it, stuff I cant google to see what they are.
In conclusion, a plain whey with 20+g of protein with almost no artificial ingredients should be fine.

I have found a 100% whey protein that is only £21.99 for standard 2lb tub, has 24g of protein per scoop. is made by PVL maxx essentials. I am trying this one out, and it seems to be better than the other and cheaper too. I got it from a shop called heros, but I dont know if thats a chain anywhere Tongue

    thanks for the help.

I have used both whey 100% and whey-80 no difference in development of muscle. The difference is that the 80% costs a lot less and I can buy 40kg with the same sum I can buy 15KG off 100%.
