how rare is for someone to get a scholarship for basketball?  Do you know anyone who got a scholarship for basketball?

Rare??Which country , in USA it s not rare,If someone is in college and plays for a long time and he is a great player schoolarship is garanteed...

It USA it's pretty common... From there you'd probably make it to the NBA.
Where do you live? Country-wise.

Why? Are you hoping to get one?

in some spots in the US it's becoming more difficult to get a scholarship, some places easier.
i herd in UF theres actually afew "ghetto" kids that have jacks%&# for grades and got football and basketball scholarships. idk if they're getting a free education there though.

(UF is the most difficult collage to get into in Florida)

Making it to the NBA is more difficult then any other sport in the U.S. The chances of making it are ridiculously low...

It really depends on where you go to school and varies from player to player. I managed a high school team that is mainly comprised of post graduates, and every single player got a D1 scholarship, while in reality only 2 or 3 have the slightest chance at making it to the league. It's just about filling a spot on a team and making coaches feel like you could help push their team to the next level.
