get the form right, when technique is correct then speed comes and with speed comes power.

Firstly get along to a good club near you and get a good coach to check your form etc and show you all the basics, dont learn you form from youtube - the smallest little thing could be throwing you off loads so only a good coach will be able to spot you and make you improve.
In terms of shadow boxing, remember its not just about throwing punches; practise your head movement, ducking and weaving, and practise using that to set up punches - literally imagine a person in front of you (maybe your sparring partner.. or Mike Tyson, either one!) and visualise them throwing punches at you, what would you do?
jab - straight - left hook - right uppercut - left hook - straight. -- thats a very basic standard combo to practise, each bit being a number (1 = jab, 2 = jab - straight, 3= jab, straight, left hook.... you get the idea)
other than that, start running - after a few sessions of boxing youll realise your cardio is not what you thought it was! Hope that helps

Dont worry about speed and power at first ,just do slow punches and get your technique correct.

Yeah make sure you have a good boxing club. The coach can make all the difference. I wouldn't say I'm that experienced in boxing but have done a little bit. Perfect practice is what you need. Perfect each move in terms of technique first.

Lengthen the intervals when you can.
Also get a trainer / join a proper club.

Don't be predictable, always throw new combinations, fakes, counters, and never let your opponent set up. Pretend the heavy bag is a real person, practice foot work. AND never forget that in real life fights everything counts!
