To be bruce lee is quite impossible for an average person with no good bodybuilding genetics, but with hardwork and determination, I believe it is possible in a few years time or even decades. Strict nutrition and low bodyfat is also required

Looking at a google images pic of him, he's not actually that big. He has nice muscles, and good abs, but otherwise, he's not built or anything... I believe just working out in general will get you like him after a long time, maybe a few years... With good nutrition of course. Lots of protein Smiley

Bruce did not have a normal body, pound for pound he was probably one of the strongest people. He may not have been huge, but that was not what he was going for either, he wanted effective muscle Smiley
And while he may not have been great at deadlifts etc, that was not what he was training for, was it now. Talking about a guy so fast that certain scenes had to be slowed down as the camera couldn´t keep up Smiley

Look around the web, several places where they demonstrate bruce´s fitness program.

Cardio, Wing Chun, cardio and some cardio.

In between cardio and cardio, develop lats so big you could flap them and fly.

As Magnus says, check out the web and find a decent looking program. Ignore all the silly ones though that tell you he did a billion situps ever hour.

Bruce didn't train as a body builder, he trained as a martial artist.  Like Magnus said, he wanted effective muscle to enhance his speed, not slow him down.

Physical feats
Lee's phenomenal fitness meant he was capable of performing many exceptional physical feats. "A man able to perform super human feats that have yet to be equaled." The following list includes some of the physical feats that are attributed to Bruce Lee.

Lee's striking speed from three feet with his hands down by his side reached five hundredths of a second.
Lee could take in one arm a 75 lb barbell from a standing position with the barbell held flush against his chest and slowly stick his arms out locking them, holding the barbell there for 20 seconds.
Lee's combat movements were at times too fast to be captured on film for clear slow motion replay using the traditional 24 frames per second of that era, so many scenes were shot in 32 frames per second for better clarity.
In a speed demonstration, Lee could snatch a dime off a person's open palm before they could close it, and leave a penny behind.
Lee would hold an elevated v-sit position for 30 minutes or longer.
Lee could throw grains of rice up into the air and then catch them in mid-flight using chopsticks.
Lee could thrust his fingers through unopened cans of Coca-Cola. (This was when soft drinks cans were made of steel much thicker than today's aluminum cans).
Lee performed one-hand push-ups using only the thumb and index finger.
Lee performed 50 reps of one-arm chin-ups.
Lee could break wooden boards 6 inches (15 cm) thick.
Lee could cause a 200-lb (90.72 kg) bag to fly towards and thump the ceiling with a sidekick.
Lee performed a sidekick while training with James Coburn and broke a 150 lb (68 kg) punching bag.
In a move that has been dubbed "Dragon Flag", Lee could perform leg lifts with only his shoulder blades resting on the edge of a bench and suspend his legs and torso horizontal midair.

He also used the same bodybuilding techniques that we all use here at different points in his training.

If you look at Bruce Lee, his body isn't really that bulky with muscle, but the muscles are extremely defined. I'm not sure about the genetics because he's Chinese like me and how many Chinese bbers do you know? Bruce Lee was so physically fit because he did huge amounts of cardio, martial arts, and extremely strict nutrition. He got to the point where he began to liquidize vegetables and drink them. It may take years to achieve that level of fitness and btw his weight training IMO sucked because he used very simple compound exercises but I guess they worked for him...
