i would listen to music but my dad doesnt like me listening to music, hes a very strong muslim, and i he sees me with headphones he wont be angry but he will be dissapointed and stuff... If i do listen to music its just on videos and stuff. But it probably will help...

Lol i know what you mean Mr Tyco, i think about people like in fight quest, the people in animes also like hajime no ippo, kenichi, baki etc...

i also do that thing where im like, you think the person your fighting is gonna give up just because you did... and i go forward. It works, but i get bored easily. I wish i had more things i could do.

I would save up for a bike, but its either ib uy a heavy bag and a pair of running shoes, or i buy a bike.... And i choose heavy bag and running shoes. I can do much more with running shoes.

Do you have access to a gym? If yes try cycling different machines so that your mind does not get bored. Getting off a machine and moving to another is a mental "break" and will get you revitalized for the coming minutes of cardio. If you are an outdoor kinda person, why not change your route up a bit?

As for the mental perseverance part, I've realized this helps me a lot. I try to "shut down" my brain and just focus about how the exercise makes me feel and I start thinking about the endorphins flowing through me which somehow gets me pumped. Having music can really help and putting on your favorite song right when you feel that last bit of energy ebb away can really work. If none of those work, I start thinking about women and that really gets me going Wink

Ride your sisters bike into the roughest neighbourhood in town.

When all the rude boys are laughing and pointing at you.

Shout You wouldn't be laughing if you knew what I did to your mum last night...

That should ensure you maintain enough focus to ride quick for a while!!  Grin

Suck it up, don't think, just do. That's my motto when running. Although sometimes I think about food or music when I run, or the fact that the weather here kind of sucks most of the time, or if it's pretty out, I look at the sky and horizon, or the cars whizzing right by. The trick is a paradox of dissociation and concentration on task, yin and yang, must be in balance. Mental training is required for all endurance sports, find a pretty place to run, but without too much distraction.

I have beat orthorexia, bulimia, depression, obesity, binge eating disorder, etc. I don't give a damn what you think, I am the master, I have powers, I have the force. May all food nazi's go away or shut up, you are problematic. The enemy of good is perfection, be forever flexible, but conservative.

I think it would be nice to substitute it for a long walk or hike while enjoying the scenery. You get to enjoy time to relax and recover yourself mentally and physically while also getting yourself some much needed cardio via a walk or a hike.
