Ofc, but a kick is more than just the snap at the end. Turning, cocking etc, just dont snap out in the air full force(dont snap out the kick and dont lock out the joints in the kicks where thats applicable).. If you keep doing that, you are going to feel it very soon.

oh ok thats what i always do, like you know in that matial arts series of hwa jung lee, he quite fast and quite fast, alot of the instructional videos do afterall.

Anyhow, so i should go fast upto the point before i snap so for round and front kick i will just chamber up to the point where i should snap, but dont snap.... How about stuff like side kick or push kick?

Yes, but they do that for instruction, demonstrating the perfect technique.But he doesn´t go all out either Wink Neither does Taekwonwoo, if you are trying to demonstrate something, going all out isnt really helpful.

The most important part of the kick is the bodymotion into the chambering, not the final snap itself. If you dont have the proper hip torque, speed/force will never get optimal.
Because so many kicks in TSD, TKD etc start with the same fundamental chambering, its crucial to learn that technique.

As an example, this is a vid of tkd fighters. They dont go all out, even with pads to hit Smiley

oh ok i see now, it makes sense Smiley Man that looks so fun, i wanna go korea and lean there one day Smiley it looks fun, and i assume korea is very martial arts oreintated am i right?

lol im like my cousin, hes obsessed with barcelona (im not really obsessed with martial arts but i really love it) and he wants to go to spain one day Smiley

BTW magnus why dont some of those people chamber their legs?

also so your saying that i should practice the chambering and the point till where i just snap but i dont snap hard, i can do it quick but not full power yes, but when it comes to sparring i can snap hard Smiley

anyways i got tangsoodo in about 20 minutes, cant wait, hopefully i do sparring, i really hope i do.

AND, im gonna go swimming starting tomorow, as well as fridays Smiley so im gonna increase my stamina, and then when that gets good i should be able to kick alot more without reducing my energy alot, woot Smiley
