wow I thought it was supposed to be 16 minutes all this time,    20+10X4X8  there is just no way I could keep up that pace
i can bike 20-30 miles @ 13-15mph average and was thinking wow how can I still be so bad outta shape that I cant finish  6 minutes worth  of tabatas and everyone else is cranking out 16 minutes like its nothing...
does anyone really go for 16 minutes??? More??

Well, some do, wich is one of the good things about Tabata. Beginners can start gently with the 4, then you can increase it as you advance. Never tried 16minutes, pretty sure I would die a horrible death if I tried. Would have to pick less intensive exercises to do that, and that would be against the principle of Tabata.
I use 8, and am happy with that Cheesy
