I seriously doubt he is the best US prospect... He looks quite old?

For me he doesn't seem to hold on to much and doesn't parry convincingly.

Maybe its the camera angle but doesn't look like a full sized goal??

Personally I think he would struggle in confrence in UK.

Sorry to be so negative.

He's 22yrs old. He holds the ball really well, but the video is a highlight video. When it came down to editing, picking a held shot or him plucking a shot destined for the upper 90 was a fairly easy decision. He is also getting shot on by 2 professional players, so the shots he is facing are not easy. We are planning on making a training video soon which shows more of a realistic shots faced during drills. He would be one of the top goal keepers in the UK Conference. He is already being scouted by clubs much better than that. Mostly 1rst and 2nd division teams in Central and Eastern Europe have shown interest. The goal is definitely full size. He just just a fairly tall goal keeper(6ft 4in), and the angle of the camera is designed to make him look taller.

End0m0rph: I personally think you would struggle to play football in local co-ed leagues, so until you show that you have some footballing pedigree, you don't have the right to critique a professional level player. By the way, English leagues are weak and lack technique. If it wasn't for the foreign players brought to England, it wouldn't be thought of one of the better leagues.

Right...

1.What is this show me your medals?? You have never seen me play football so you have no clue as to what level I play at.

2.You posted a video on a public forum highlighting "one of the US best goalkeeping prospects"... I have every right to post my opinion on the forum as long as it falls within forum rules

3. English leagues are weak? don't make me laugh... it's prob the fastest, most physical league in the world.

4. English football lacks technique? maybe compared to Spain and that's the only league that you could put a strong argument is better... but remove Real & Barca and non of the other teams would make top 6.

5. Professional level player... well if professional means getting a few $$ for playing a indoor game?? maybe... making enough to live off and have a comfortable level of living?? I'd be surprised!!

No need to get so butt hurt... I hope he makes it, I'll make a note of his name, I'm willing to put £100 on the fact he won't be playing top level by the time he is 30!

Sorry to hurt your feelings, but I'm 100% right. If you knew anything about goal keeping, you also would realize that your criticisms are silly. He parries the ball very well, and I don't believe almost any of the shots not caught were even catchable. I could have easily put normal shots in the video. I would say he could easily play Championship level football in England, and he would never look out of place.

I do think English football is poor. The best players in the top 2 divisions are for the most part foreign players. English players have horrible technique compared to most countries. Yes, it's the fastest. Hoofing the ball down field and running does that. I can name 10+ European nations with better technique than England.

1. Spain
2. Italy
3. Germany
4 France
5. Netherlands
6. Portugal
7. Serbia
8. Croatia
9. Russia
10. Czech Republic

Don't try to tell me I'm saying they are all completely better than England. Physical abilities, tactics, and more are big parts of the game which may or may not make England better. However, they are weaker in technical aspects of the game. If you don't believe me, look at whom the players with the highest technical skills in the Premier League are. They are almost entirely foreign.

Your bet at the end is stupid, because you don't mention where "top level" is. If it's the Premier League in your opinion, it may be impossible even if he is good enough. England is notoriously hard to get a work permit to play football. If it's a full-professional player, he basically is already there. He is just looking at different options at the moment.

I'm also willing to bet $500 that you haven't played in the top 6 divisions in England. I don't have to see you play with the comments you are making. Your comments lack any real knowledge of the sport, so 99% you would be terrible on the pitch. Also, English lower divisions are known mainly for fitness and physical play. I doubt you were ever fit enough to play that level. I have played with and against many players of that level and far better in leagues in my country, so I feel I have much more of a say than you.

Don't worry you haven't hurt my feelings.

I don't see the need to get into personal insults... (I doubt you where ever fit enough etc etc) yeah maybe since my mid 20's I havent been that fit but in my early 20's I was fit enough to fight for a Muay Thai club so I don't see that been a problem. Plus on looking through many of your videos I could make many comments on you regards to playing at that level.

I've played senior mens football and still do (which means you can be promoted into the premiership in theory) but not in the top 6 divisions... I play level 9, but as you say with players from abroad playing in the 4th and 5th divisions it isn't easy. I have my coaching badges and have a reasonable idea of what is going on...

I've watched many of the Waza videos and whilst you say it is pro game.. In theory yes but I don't see (m)any of them playing championship level in the uk. Or is the keeper an exception? Some of the goal keeping is awful (not your keeper the teams you play against). The standard looks similar to the mid week 5 aside leagues in the UK...

Regarding your mate... on watching it again maybe the comment I made about his parring was harsh, there is just a section from about 3:30 where he palms the ball straight back to the attacker 3 times in a row... that's what got stuck in my mind (and I think the striker sticks him twice??)
For such a big lad he does get down well, although he looks so awkward when he dives, he doesn't seem to land right at all!?!
On looking at his oneshotonedream highlight reel I would say he looks less than convincing...

If he is Championship level then I don't see why he is playing for an indoor team in detroit when the average wage in the Championship is about £5k per week... I doubt he gets that a year for Waza.

I think English players get a hard time regarding technique, it's not as bad as everyone makes out... I know its silly to cite certain teams etc but Man U have a lot of UK players in their team and they have been to 3 out 4 of the last CL finals... Whats funny is this is coming from a US guy  who plays some strange version of the game  Roll Eyes

One question. YOU HONESTLY BELIEVE HE IS THE BEST AMERICAN GOAL KEEPING PROSPECT??

You know nothing about football. No reason to argue with you. Enjoy the British arrogance. There is a reason most of Europe and the world hates you.

Haha thought so...

You don't even play football, I'm not even sure you make 1st team waza? Can't see you on the team roster!

Hate to break it to you but as much as Britain is internationally hated America has the number 1 spot in that category!! And as far as arrogance well...

Good luck with the rest of your season, try not to get too many carpet burns!

Good luck with your online trolling. That's all you are good for since you've never played a competitive sport in your life.

@redsforlife

All Endo did was give notes on why he thinks this guy may not be the best prospect. Apparently, you took this as some personal insult and decided to get all cranky in return.  He even said "Sorry to be so negative" in his post.

Seems like you can't take the tiniest bit of criticism.

As for your comment:
"so until you show that you have some footballing pedigree, you don't have the right to critique a professional level player."

Ummmm, you may have posted your video in the wrong forum if you were looking for 'footballing pedigree' level comments from people. Everyone here is free to voice their opinion on whatever topic is listed.

I agree with fudzzz enough to rep him.

The notion that you can only criticise someone worse than you is absolutely ridiculous, especially when it comes to sports watched around the world by billions of people, each of them with their own opinions.

Endo is completely within his rights to point out what he considers flaws. Millions of people do it every saturday at 3pm and that isnt going to change anytime soon. Soccer, among other sports, isnt something that you have to be good at to talk about. Fuck it, even successful managers can sometimes be shit.
