Stretching

Hi guys!
As I had to quit doing judo because of an accident, I didn't do any stretching exercises for like 8 months.
I don't miss any flexibility in my movement, it's just that I can't get down to my feet with my hand without having bent my knees.
And I know the feeling how awesome it is to be flexible and being even more able to control my body.
So today I want to ask what exercises you would consider for getting very flexible? (I know it takes time to get in good form again, but I want to integrate those exercises into my training;))
Regards

Where you given the good to go sign, to stretch, by your physician?
The reason I ask is that you're recovering and it might be bad for your recovery if you stretch the injured part of your body.

I had a multiple fibula fracture, which doesn't bother me at any exercise except jumping and falling:/ that was why I couldn't keep on doing judo. At the 20th decembre the titan plate and screws are getting out (3rd operation that year). [My physician told me that I can and even SHOULD do any excercise I want to, as long as I am not hitting my leg hard]
Independent from that I want to regain my flexibility and was just wondering what excercises to get start of.
And with flexibility I mean not only the feet-reaching-thing but the ability to move with more ease whilst doing ev'rything.

In judo, aren't you taught to stretch?
You may want to look up yoga in youtube - basic yoga.

You're welcome. In case of doubt, buy a yoga book, or borrow one from the library (yeah, it's the old school way of getting information). Hehe

Thanks! Hm, well I think a good book is way better than reading thousands of pages online which contain mainly bs
And what could be better than reading a book at the beach of south france and then after having had a nice lecture go and swim 5km in the open water?

A book is a nice way to pass time.
