It won't. You can even swim the same day you workout as long as it's not fast swimming. If you plan on swimming three days a week I recommend you do it on non-workout days, but as I said you can do it on workout days as long as it's not super taxing.
It's a really good cardio, and I just love it Grin

It depends on what you want and your swimming level. If you want endurance you can swim 200 to 600m straight, preferrably crawl, according to your level.
If you want speed you could do 8x50m stopping 10 to 30 seconds, or the same but 8x25, for even more speed focusing.

It won't matter, swimming is cardio. It will actually help you in decorating your body with pretty muscle.

Swimming may be the best single physical activity that one could do (excluding the fact of the danger of drowning  Grin). So if you have the opportunity to swim do not miss it. If I had to pick just one physical activity I'll pick swimming.

Yes, positive is the effect of swimming on bodybuilding.

Some positive effects, but not limited to the following:

    i. Rehabilitation for joints and muscles
    ii. Exercises one's heart
    iii. Knowing how to swim
iv. Girls like swimmer's best because of the presumption that swimmers know how to hold one's breathe long which has a carry over in kissing.
    v. You'll always be clean in swimming. :3
