To scooby ,
hi my name is jason i weight 188 i do muay thai and jiu jitsu, is weight lifting good for martial artist. 
im tryin to lose weight is it good to take protein shake with creatine to get stronger while trying to lose weight ? should i bulk up muscle then drop weight dwn 2 170 Huh??.
i havent lifted in a couple months just got back 2 it cuz i tore my mcl still healing so i cant lift legs but i can do body weight squats.  what workouts are good for martial artist i need explosion, endurance, Speed and power,and duh cardio. 
im trying to keep up my nutrion eating lean meats and oatmeal etc healthy stuff.
im 19 i need to get stronger and i want to get ripped.  how do i do it? IS it even possible? my plan is to go dwn to 170 so i can cut to 155 and compet there fight wise i figure there ill be lean at that weight.  for bjj ill compete gi/ no gi 165+-170 depends weight is different for diff, tournements.
i NEED TO LIFT CORRECTLY WHILE IM STILL YOUNG I NEED SOME ADVICE PLZ HELP.  thanks
p. s.  keep puttin out videos maybe one on strentgh and condtioning for combat sport athletics

    Strength training has a nice carry over with respect to martial arts, provided, that you lift weights once to twice a week, and practice your martial art.
