Working out + sports performance

Hi!
I am a big Volleyball player, and recently I started working out 4-5 times a week... I just wanted to know if a should still workout at lunch time when I play Volleyball the same night, or I should only do cardio instead... Is lifting in the day altering your sports performance at night?
I know Scooby enjoy Volleyball as well, do you thinks he lifts the same day he plays it?
Thank you!

I'm in the same boat as you and from my experience, it never really hindered me. I was definitely beat with 10+ hours of practice a week along with weightlifting haha but just be smart with knowing when to rest, I didn't. And now I have horribly irritated knees and back, so listen to your body, and you should be fine.
