I think for someone who is out of shape it is a good exercise as opposed to doing nothing at all. Jogging, walking, or bicycling would be better forms of cardio, though.

I used to be a semi professional table tennis player, I can't do it now tho
, I loved it!...but I would say even completive table tennis would be one of the lowest forms of cardio. swimming is the best ands down imo.
