hello everyone.
so i injured my wrist about 6months back while playing rugby. now there wasnt a fracture. doctors said it was a ligament/tendon injury.
however the pain has gone but flexibility is not there in the wrist and if i try to move it too much theres is a sharp pain in the index finger side of the wrist.
some people said it might be tendonitits.
Anyone have any idea or experience of how to treat something like this?
thanks Smiley

A sharp pain from movement doesn't sound like tendonitis.

Tendonitis is an inflammatory condition where the tendon becomes tender as a result of repetitive motion. Therefore the pain should only set on when you have been moving your wrist in a particular way for some length of time - and would gradually increase with each motion rather than a fast pain setting on.

Which wrist movement hurts? And by "move it too much" do you mean it hurts when you reach the limits of your flexibility, or when you move it too fast or what?

Well it hurts in exercises like straight bar bicep curls, pull ups etc.
Basically when i try to turn my palm upwards (like st bar curls)
in that palms up motion if i bend my wrist more towards my body or upwards i get a pain in the index finger side of the wrist.
Extra info- after this injury i did continue working out. The pain was there so i did exercises which did not hurt but some did and i used to still continue.
Anyway after a few days the pain wasnt there. It used to come only when i worked out. That also toward the end of the workout.
So i used to workout and stop when the wrist started hurting.
