Hi.

Is it weird to have an aim of a 6 pack abs for a lady?
With this aim we can actually try to do more cardio workouts and with the help of some abs workouts,we can actually achieve the result of 6pack abs(just a matter of time).
Im not really wanna get so big in size as there're musceles all around my body, just wanna get a nice abs and keep in  shape.

Please advise,thanks Smiley

it is not weird aim , depends on personal goal

weight lifting will never make a woman big , i have seen lot of woman lifting heavy but not huge , just fit
i met a woman who can squat really heavier than me but she is never big , but she has muscle definition
combination of cardio and weight training will give good results

You'd have to weightlift a lot harder and longer than men in order to achieve a fraction of men's results.

As for the other thing, IMHO abs on ladies are very very hot!

Having 6-pack abs, for men and women, is a matter of getting to a low enough body fat percentage so that the abs show. For some women, this could mean getting to a body fat level too low--unhealthy. But it all depends on the woman.

If that's your goal, I'd say go for it, but do some research and make sure you don't reduce your body fat percentage low enough to risk your health. We've talked about it here in this forum (do a search), and there are lots of sources out on the net about it also.

not weird at all, I personally find it attractive, but sometimes(as goldie said) women will have to get their body fat way too low to have a six pack because they are lacking mass in those muscles.

    Yes,i find 6pack abs attractive!
As what scooby mentioned in his video, getting 6 pack abs,i will have to first get rid of those fats that i can pinch at my belly! hahas.
But no worries,i'll do it gradually! I cant do it too intensely anyway~
Thanks for your wonderful replies !
Any tips to help me achieve my goal?

There are a few girls that have them in my school, most of them are gymnasts. I find it attractive, except on the one girl... She has abs that actually look like a man's abs, which kind of scares me. But it's all good.

dont worry, woman dont have the same testosterone as us men in order to build muscle, it is only if you take steroids, or you workout for a very long time will you actually get very big.

Of course you can have six pack abs. It's not "weird " in any sense of the word!!!

And don't worry about getting "too big", gaining muslce is a very long process for both men and women!!! It takes years to get "too big".

In order to get abs though, you need hardwork and dedication. Don't rush, keep up your cardio, and watch your nutriton. And as Goldie said, do not get your body fat too low in the quest for abs, as that can be unhealthy. Stay consistent and focus on your goal, and you will get there.

    Good luck! Smiley
