Thanks for the warm welcome! Yes I used to play basketball 5 days a week and I think that's the other reason my knees are so bad. I am so glad I find this website. This is a very informative website, so glad to find a website that doesn't talk about nonsense!

lol sorry when I said pill, i meant birth control pill, not weight loss pill lol I don't believe in those pill either. Sorry for the confusion...lol

I envy you. I'm extremely clumsy and never good at any sport!

And thanks for the explanation. I think with birth control pills, it may take more time. I don't have strong science behind this but I hear birth control pills interfere hormone balance and so does with weight loss. But you know, it's a long journey, as long as you take enough time, you can make it.

I hope more experienced person will give you better answers but here's mine anyway.

    Good luck!

uff i had  knees injuries too(both of them) , but mine was because the muscles of my legs were not balanced. the doctor said that i worked all the muscles of my legs but i neglected my abductors.

i didn't have any injuries before i started doing weights. the solution for me was using some bands for exercising my abductors and all was solved.

    Salutations  Wink

I am new to the forums but I've been reading Scooby's site a couple months now and I love how supportive the community here. I am in the stage where I've been making healthy choices and been walking everywhere. I want to shed off some weight before I start with the beginning workout plan. My goal is to have a healthy lifestyle and learn more about our amazing bodies.

    Hi,

I discovered this forum a few hours ago and just registered because I really like the friendly atmosphere.

I'm 28 years old. Due to some incidents in December 2011 I decided to loose weight and body fat. My weight was 99 kg/218 lbs (I'm 176 cm/69 inches tall).
I lost about 15 kg/33 lbs since then. My goal is to loose another 10 kg in the next months. I don't know if this will be the final goal - we will see.

I've been starting with some simple body weight exercises in January. Now I'm doing a workout plan which is quite similar to the intermediate workout recommend here.

I just signed up on the forum a few days ago, and I thought I'd drop by in here for a quick introduction.  I've been a lurker for quite some time.  Everybody on here seems so helpful, so I figured it'd be a great place to find some camaraderie!

I'm 30 years old, 5' 2.5", 107 lb, about 15% body fat.  I started working out and running in September 2011 and have lost over 17 lb.  I mostly enjoy distance and competitive running, but recently got really interested in putting on some decent muscle to even things out some more.  After running stripped me of all my body fat, I really wanted to counter the lanky look it left me with.

Look forward to meeting some of the other ladies on here!
