Hi I'm new here.I hope someone could give me a little advise!
I'll give you a little information about me.
I'm 42 and a mother of 5 children from 5 to 10,yes that's one each year for give years!
I'm 5 foot 2 and weigh 128 pounds......I have been trying really hard for 10 years to get to 118 pound but only seem to drop a few pounds when I get sick.I have been running for years and have done quite a few marathons and half marathons.Previous to that I spent a lot of time in the gym/weights.I'm what you would describe as skinny fat!
Now here's my questions.I have started doing Scoobys beginner course and really struggle with pull ups,no problem with push ups.Do I have to stay on this until I do 1 pull up.I can do 3 x 8 chair assisted pull ups.....it's just that what if I can't ever do a pull up?
I know that sounds very negative but how long should I give myself?

Now my second question, have used the calculator to work out what I should be eating.....in 4 weeks I havnt lost a pound, cardio 5 days a week and weight 3 times a week......clean diet with one cheat meal a week.(eat lots of bread at this meal)!
Any suggestions.....
By the way, thank you Scooby for all your hard work and I'm hoping your site will help me achieve what I have been looking for for the last 10 years.
Thanks again

Stay on it till you can do 7 pull ups. Smiley

Do your cardio on the day you lift and allow yourself rest days, because you build and repair your body during rest days. Smiley

Ex. if you weight train monday, wednesday, and friday - that's when you do your cardio too.  You rest tuesday, thursday, saturday, and sunday. Smiley

Persist, you can do it. Smiley
